I'd be a bit worried if it was me in that position, but from the outside looking in, at least I can find it a little helpful. The weirder it gets, the more possibilities I can rule out. Not that I'm all that sure what I should be ruling in yet, but it's a work in progress.
Cases like this I won't charge for until I actually turn something up. Of course, if I get a little strapped for cash because of the investigation, I might have to ask for a little helping along if you know what I mean.
